The Director, Sponsorship Sales is responsible for leveraging FOS’s growing slate of IRL and Virtual events and experiences to drive revenue growth, expand market presence, and foster new and existing relationships with key partners. This individual will bring high energy, passion, and excellence to help build and scale a world-class Events sponsorship business. The Director of Sponsorship Sales will be an individual contributor, invested in meeting and exceeding revenue targets.
This role will report directly to the EVP, Head of Brand Partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with EVP, Head of Brand Partnerships to develop and execute a comprehensive Events-based sales strategy designed to enable you to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets and margin goals.
- End-to-end accountability of sourcing leads, generating a pipeline, assessing opportunities, conducting valuations, and negotiating terms through completion of contracting.
- Collaborate with EVP, Marketing & Operations, and Events team to identify sponsorship and activation opportunities within our events and experience offerings.
- Demonstrate a propensity for developing creative ideas in collaboration with Marketing and Creative Strategy teams to elevate the experience and align with brand objectives.
- Identify opportunities to develop robust, 360-degree multi-platform campaigns with brand partners in partnership with other members of the Brand Partnerships team.
- Establish and communicate clear sales revenue strategy and goals to Leadership.
- Identify, pursue, and secure new Events-based business opportunities across the Consumer, Professional, and B2B business categories.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and industry stakeholders to strengthen the company’s position and consideration in the market.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive activities, and emerging technologies to capitalize on market opportunities.
- Collaborate with Creative Strategy, Enablement, Account Management, Integrated Marketing, and Research teams to enhance existing offers and introduce new solutions and GTM materials based on market needs.
- Identify, negotiate, and establish strategic partnerships that enhance the company’s position in the market to contribute to revenue growth.
- Attend Event/Sponsorship-industry-based. summits/events/panels to both represent FOS and also source prospects for new partnerships.
To best perform this job, you will demonstrate:
- Proven experience achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual Sponsorship sales goals throughout your career.
- In-depth knowledge of the events/sponsorship sales industry.
- Meticulous management of an extensive sales pipeline.
- Proven ability to collaborate, plan, and executive at both strategic and operational levels cross-functionally.
- Experienced relationship builder with a proven track record of negotiating deals that lead to exceeding aggressive revenue targets.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication, negotiation, project management, and time management skills are required.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical skills
- Passion for Sports is strongly preferred
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Minimum 6 years of direct Event sales experience with a strong background in live entertainment, hospitality, summits, sports, and pop culture events.
- Strong list of existing partner relationships within the Consumer/Professional/B2B partner categories
- Fluent in G-suite; Keynote, CRM, etc.
- Passion for FOS’s mission and our content
- This is a NY-based position with the in-person requirement for a minimum of three (3) days per week in our NYC-based HQ
- Startup experience preferred
