The VP of Integrated Marketing will lead the integrated marketing function at Front Office Sports, reporting to the EVP of Marketing & Operations. As the lead of the department, you will oversee a team of (3) Directors and be held responsible for the oversight, management, planning, and execution of all partner campaigns. Along with our VP of Creative Strategy, Director of Account Management, and Director of Events and Live Journalism, you will represent your respective department for our brand partners and the FOS brand.

As the lead of the department, you will have a finger on the pulse of every active partner campaign. While not every campaign will require your support, it is your responsibility to establish the processes, strategies, and structure to enable your team to execute flawlessly, implement new tactics, make optimizations in real time, and outperform client expectations. You will support the campaigns led by your team and lead campaigns on your own.

This person must be a strategic thinker, pay exceptional attention to detail, and have a strong creative point of view. A large emphasis of the role will be leaning into our multi-platform custom content-led campaigns, collaborating with Creative Strategy, Account Management, Sales, Social, and Audience teams to execute and exceed KPIs.

The VP of Integrated Marketing will provide a senior-level presence with clients, agency partners, and vendors to ensure the planning, strategy, and execution of these campaigns are flawless and drive meaningful performance from an audience, engagement, and reach perspective. A very strong understanding of content production, branded and sponsored content, social, video, digital media, and event marketing is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage a team of (3) direct reports.
  • As a team, lead the partnership and execution of all partner campaigns executed across Newsletter, Website, Social, Custom Content, Podcast, Events, and more.
  • Lead marketing strategy for partner campaigns, including but not limited to production briefs (branded and sponsored content), content and social programming, paid social, advertising and social copy, and more.
  • Work in tandem with Account Management to establish the foundation for all partner campaigns, including but not limited to status reports, workback timelines, production timelines, content programming planners, talent handling, paid social strategy, measurement, and reporting.
  • Lead and manage the team in taking the initiative and first action(s) on the strategy, production, and activation of all campaign assets with limited oversight from leadership or other departments.
  • Procure and manage third-party vendors, leading the development of RFPs, production briefs, vendor negotiations, internal and external timelines, etc.
  • Lead the pre-production planning of content shoots, creative direction, and producing onsite in partnership with Production and Creative Strategy.
  • Lead the internal and external feedback process on all creative output and assets (content, social, events) to ensure content meets brand and partner standards.
  • Provide senior-level support for client communications on campaign activation and production responsibilities.
  • Work with Account Management, Audience, and AdOps teams to maximize campaign performance across digital channels, including audience targeting, performance marketing, and content optimization.
  • Collaborate with Creative Strategy and Sales to pitch returning and new clients, leveraging key learnings and new offerings/tactics to drive revenue and build strong client relationships.
  • Collaborate with Account Management to produce compelling campaign recaps and case studies.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Minimum of 10+ years of work experience with at least 5+ years at a media agency or digital-first publisher; knowledge and passion of sports and business a plus
  • Experience managing a team of at least (3) direct reports for 3+ years
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of the digital media mix, with a focus on branded and original content, sponsored social, and event partnerships
  • Strong understanding of brand experience marketing and sponsorship activation
  • Comfortable pitching new business and managing senior to C-level executives at brands and agencies
  • Natural ability to lead with a knack for taking the initiative rather than project management and delegation
  • Incredibly organized with the ability to produce your work while collaborating across teams clearly and confidently
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to distill complex things into easily digestible information
  • Experience managing and balancing client expectations and internal teams, including multiple key stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, multi-task, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
